OUR TEAM

JULIE EASON - Co-chair

Julie founded the Fundraisers in 2014, and co-founded the Arts Fundraisers in 2021, both organisations raise funds, the Fundraisers for charities, social enterprises and community organisations and the Arts Fundraisers for Arts organisations and artists. Julie has previously worked as a Director of Fundraising for National Charities and in the UK Cabinet Office, and DCLG, and as director of housing for the New South Wales Government, Australia. She has won a Charity Times Award and a Government, Excellence in Delivery award for her work. When not running her businesses or co-chairing the Croft, Julie is the PT CEO of Human Study UK, a relatively new charity that works around the world (primarily in areas affected by war) training clinicians and technicians to make and fit prosthetic and orthotic devices.

GEORGIE FINN - Co-chair

Georgie graduated from Central St Martins with a BA in Ceramics and later took up printmaking, exhibiting as part of the East Anglian 4PRINTmakers collective.  She later studied an MA in children’s book illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Georgie lives in Norfolk and has spent her career working as a visual artist.  One of Georgie’s favourite illustrators is Barbara Cooney and she takes her creative motto from Barbara’s Miss Rumphius who said that we should all ‘do something to make the world more beautiful’. Georgie tries to do that through her art, and her work at Croft where she has been volunteering her time for a number of years.

MARY LAWSON - Vice-Chair

Retired school administrator, Mary has always had a keen sense of social responsibility and now has time to further this practically.

YVONNE O'CONNOR - Treasurer

Yvonne is the Managing Director of Framptons Accounting Services, Eastbourne. As a qualified accountant, and thoroughly good egg, she is in demand as a treasurer and is also a trustee of Rooted Community Food CIC and John Whippy Foundation.

HANNAH TRAVERS - Fundraiser

Hannah started fundraising early and was nominated as young fundraiser of the year early in her career. She worked in multiple Director of Fundraising roles before setting up her own consultancy in 2014. She joined forces with the Fundraisers in early 2020 and in 2021 co-founded the Arts Fundraisers. She is now a Director of both organisations. She has grown that business to become one of the best-known arts fundraising organisation in the Uk in the first 2 years, and achieved market leading success rates, consistently winning over 80% of grant applications submitted for Arts Clients. When not running her businesses and volunteering at Croft, Hannah and her husband Mark (a professional musician) run 2 choirs and write, produce and direct musicals. 

PEA CRABTREE - Communications

Printmaker and furniture charity worker, Pea believes in social justice and the transformational power of making things.

TIM MELLOWS - Trustee

Retired, multi-skilled engineer, Tim likes volunteering with anything practical on the Croft site; helping guests learn practical skills.
